Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher range of clients/beneficiaries to read more access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The service position produced for intervention encounters a large inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a status sassa visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to empower the servicing of all sassa customers and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
